Deidre Alvis Baker Lmt, owner and massage therapist at Relaxing Point Massage, is now also a Certified Labor Doula. That means that the Doula profession just gained someone amazing. Dee continues her professional growth in an area she is passionate about. Relaxing Point massage is already an integrative massage clinic with a specialty in all types of Maternity Massage. Fertility massage to help with conception, Prenatal Massage to relieve pain during pregnancy, Stimulation
Massage, which at 39 weeks of pregnancy, MAY help induce labor. and Postpartum Massage to help ease pain and stress following delivery. So where does a Doula fit into that? As a Doula, Dee can continue to provide emotional and physical support to mothers during labor and delivery.

PRENATAL VISIT​

A one time 60 min. Prenatal vist is done at 30wks. This in-office or home visit will allow us to get to know each other, talk about what fears you may have and the things you want to happen during and after labor. We will also discuss the different phases of labor and what you can expect once you are in active labor.

LABOR SUPPORT

We offer 12hrs of in-person labor support. Once at the birthing place Doula will provide emotional support,
physical support, mental support and informational support depending on
birthers needs.

​POSTPARTUM VISIT

The postpartum follow-up visit is scheduled shortly after you return home from the hospital or in the case of a nome birth. a re cars arte the baby is born. This is an opportunity to check in and see if you need additional
support or resources.
